Please accept my apology for my delay in sending you this letter. Life has been a bit of a whirlwind since the wedding in September, yet, you and the band have been on my mind! Paul and I have wanted to take the time to properly thank you for making our wedding so special and put our thoughts, feelings and recommendation down on paper for future newlyweds to see.

Our wedding on September 17, 2005 was one of the most exciting energetic parties that Overbrook Country Club has seen and the staff and guests are still talking about it! The thank you notes, phone calls and wonderful comments about the wedding began the next day and continued through the holidays!

As a special events planner with the Penn’s Landing Corporation, I knew from the start the music would set the tone for the entire event. I wanted the choice of entertainment to truly reflect our personalities of fun loving, outgoing, partiers! We did extensive research and saw TONS of bands the summer before our wedding, but none seemed to do the trick. The night we came to see you at WarmDaddy’s, we knew in the first 2 songs that we had found the perfect band for our wedding!

We raved about you to our parents and they knew from our reaction, this was the right choice! Your professionalism through the entire booking experience was refreshing! The meetings were relaxed, the song selection process was easy and you even catered to some special requests and learned some new songs!

As the wedding day came, Paul and I were so comfortable and confident the reception would be flawless and that our guests would be able to have a ‘ol fashioned good time! The music was the key to the energy of the evening, leading up to the grand finale fireworks!

We truly appreciate you facilitating the timeline of the speeches, special dedications and especially stopping the music to send everyone outside for the fireworks! Your professional coordination with the staff at Overbrook allowed Paul and I to focus on our guests (and having fun!)
Our families have heard nothing but positive words about the evening….and many “that was the best wedding I’ve ever been too.” The comments overwhelmingly were about the band, the music and the fireworks! You truly made the evening memorable for all of our guests and that was our goal!

First, we want you to know that music is and always has been an important part of our lives, the lives of our closest circle of friends, and as a central element of any social event in which we have a hand. We live with and surround ourselves with music.

Second, at our daughter’s wedding last Saturday we had a lot of musicians present, including many who are accomplished professionally in their own right. Our new son-in-law is one of them and has played professionally as a jazz saxophonist in Los Angeles and elsewhere. Members of his old group were present and many of the groomsmen whom you met are very talented musicians.

With all of that musicality in the audience, we have to tell you that we stopped counting the people who approached us to tell us that the orchestra was the best wedding band they had ever heard, and that in addition to celebrating a wedding, they felt as if they were part of an incredible musical event. Finally, with so much individual virtuosity among your vocalists and musicians, your ability to keep the dance floor filled with only 2 or 3 of you on stage during partial breaks was just astonishing. You really are the best wedding band we have ever heard.
As people who are continuously planning social and charitable events, we will be recommending the Renaissance Orchestra to everyone we know, as will our caterer who, in addition to being a very good friend, is extremely sought-after and dispenses a lot of advice to party planners throughout our area.

The Renaissance Orchestra did an absolutely outstanding job for our wedding reception. Not only did they sound great, but they were extremely flexible, organized, and easy to work with. In addition to the great music, you were very professional. Having a band with a dedicated manager like you made a big difference in the entire process. I am writing to express my sincerest appreciation for the outstanding contribution Renaissance Orchestra made to my daughter’s wedding on Saturday, September 3rd. My daughter’s wedding day turned out perfectly, and I would be remiss not to recognize the important role Renaissance Orchestra played in that success.

As a father-of-the-bride, I can personally attest the financial burden associated with giving your daughter a truly special wedding are quite considerable. Throughout the planning process, one is constantly faced with decisions that ultimately revolve around cost versus perceived benefit considerations, and this includes whether to have live music and, if so, the selection of a band to provide it. With the wedding now behind me, I can say without hesitation that the very best decision I made was to engage Renaissance Orchestra, as it truly made my daughter’s wedding a memorable event and one that will never be forgotten by anyone in attendance.

My daughter (who is now on her honeymoon) told me that as she made the rounds visiting each table, she received all the expected congratulatory comments and compliments on various aspects of the reception, but the one constant she literally heard from every single guest was how outstanding the music was. This was perfectly evidenced by the fact that virtually no one left the reception until its very end, and indeed it ended with a full dance floor of guests imploring you to play “just one more song”.

But perhaps the best – and most objective – testimony to how absolutely amazing Renaissance truly is came from the professional photographer we hired for the occasion. At the end of the evening, he told my wife and I that Renaissance was, “by far – BY FAR – the most amazing band he has ever heard at any wedding reception”. Coming from a man that has made his living photographing weddings, and who has undoubtedly attended hundreds of receptions, this is remarkable testimony.

I am sure my daughter will write to express her gratitude upon returning from her honeymoon, but I wanted to personally thank you and every member of the band for a wonderful performance. Now that I’ve had a few weeks to recover, I wanted to thank you, Leon, and the entire Renaissance Orchestra for a truly amazing night. Good Morning! What an absolutely wonderful magical night we had in little old York, PA. on Saturday night. I cannot tell you how many of our guests have called me or emailed me and their very first remark and I am not kidding you is “where in the world did you find that incredible band”! The Yorktowne did a superb job hands down but it was the Renaissance Orchestra that from the moment you started to play until the end – without a break remind you – which no one could believe a band that never ever took a break, it was your Orchestra that made the party come to life and last all night long. I have been to many affairs where by 10:00/10:30 at night the “older” folks like me are out of it because the band has switched to the louder young tunes of today but you never let that happen. Everyone (all ages) wanted to dance to every song all night long. I was exhausted!! And the dance floor was absolutely never ever empty, the sign of a truly wonderful diversified group. Please express to Leon just how absolutely thrilled we were with your performance. And the last song, Auld Lang Syne, I was not sure at all how that would work out and that in the end it just might be my most favorite memory of all. Thank you for still being attentive at that hour of the night to realize we needed one extra verse to finish it off the way Becky and Brian wanted it to. What a great way to end a night of singing and dancing. I haven’t been able to talk to Becky except for a limited amount on Sun. morning. They went up to a remote cabin in Nova Scotia for their honeymoon but I know Phaedra she would just echo my remarks! Thank you for making perhaps my families best night of our lives so far so great – but you know I’ve got one coming up right behind, Trish, Becky’s youngest sister will be soon to follow. So as soon as I know 😉 – you will get a call!

I think my favorite memory will be Trish and Ernie dancing to “My Girl” I just loved that! And ending it with Trish’s favorite version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” that was just very special. After it was all over Ernie kept going down to try to catch you and have you come up to our suite so that we could buy you a drink and show you how much we appreciate your talent and professionalism, it has been a real pleasure working with you guys. We have no more daughters but who knows maybe when our son, EJ, finds his great gal (I’m confident one day he will) they will let us provide the music for their celebration and we will know just who to call. You guys are AWESOME! We thank you so much for making our celebration so special and fun!

As expected, you and the rest of the Renaissance Orchestra completely blew us away – you were incredible. Your Nicki Minaj skills are impressive! Everything from the ceremony music, to the bob dylan and the kooks, our first dance, all of the sings you learned! Everything was amazing!!!!!! Truly amazing!!!!! I didn’t get the chance to say hello to all the band members and thank them individually. I came by after I had gotten out of my dress (which took forever because of all of the damned buttons) but I only saw your husband. I cannot believe you played three weddings this weekend! Please thank each person for us and let them know how much we appreciated each and every one if you. What a spectacular night! I will recommend you with the highest if reviews and I would not be surprised if you are asked to perform at more venues on the eastern shore now that Kathie and Kari known about you. I just have to tell you we are still floating on clouds after Sarah’s & Matt’s wedding last Saturday.

You and the orchestra did an awesome job and really made the party the success it was.

So many people have said it was the best wedding they’d ever attended and the BEST band! Some thought the first dance song “la vie en rose” was recorded until they realized you were singing…and in perfect Parisienne french, too. Wow!

From the elegant jazzy cocktail hour to the end, you hit the perfect party “notes.”

The send off with marching drums and horns was a highlight everyone loved and so perfect for this NOLA couple.
